The Giving in Action Society is committed to protect the privacy of people whose personal information is held by the Society through responsible information management.  Any personal information provided to the Society is collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and other applicable legislation.

Subject to consent, any personal information we collect is used only to process applications and to ensure the ethical and appropriate stewardship of the funds held at Giving in Action Society. 

The personal information individuals provide when applying may be disclosed to partnership funders (i.e. Variety/Presidents Choice) but we do not disclose information to the general public, nor do we lend, exchange, rent, or sell information to any non-affiliated organizations. 

Above all, we value the trust of those we deal with and recognize that maintaining this trust requires full transparency and accountability in matters of privacy.
